Olevia Rachel

You’ve seen her.
The woman who speaks up without shrinking.
The one who walks into a meeting like she belongs there.
The one who negotiates without apologizing.
The one who asks for what she wants—and gets it.
And maybe you’ve thought:
“I wish I had that kind of confidence.”
But here’s the truth:
She wasn’t born with it.
She built it.
Confidence isn’t a personality trait.
It’s a skill.
And like any skill, it can be learned, strengthened, and owned.
Let’s break it down.
A. Choose self-trust over perfection.
Confidence doesn't come from always getting it right.
It comes from knowing that even if it goes wrong—you can handle it.
Let go of needing to have the perfect words, the perfect outcome.
Chose self-trust instead.
B. Start with low-stakes reps.
If saying "I deserve a raise" feels impossible right now, start smaller.
Say "no" to the project you don't have capacity for.
Speak up in the meeting with one sentence.
Ask for clarity instead of pretending you're not confused.
Build the muscle where it's safe—so it's stronger when it counts.
C. Act now. Celebrate later.
Confidence grows when you act in alignment—not when you wait to be congratulated.
Don't wait for applause.
Don't wait for the "good job."
Don't wait for permission.
Give it to yourself.
Then celebrate the hell out of it.
D. Stop arguing for your limitations.
"I've never done that before."
"I'm not good at negotiating."
"I don't know if I'm ready."
Stop rehearsing those lines.
You can learn.
You can stretch.
You can rise.
Say something new:
"I'm still learning—but I'm ready to practice."
Confidence isn't about thinking you're better than anyone.
It's about refusing to believe you're less.
It's about deciding that you deserve to take up space.
That your thoughts matter.
That your future is too important to keep waiting for someone else to believe in it first.
Confidence is a choice.
Not a lightning strike.
Not a fixed personality trait.
A daily choice to believe in your ability to figure it out.
